People of the Lie

In today's political environment, where one political party is determined to destroy the country by perpetrating all kinds of evil, this shirt is more appropriate than ever.
The idea of the People of the Lie comes from a book, by that same title, written by Dr. Scott Peck. He believed that evil should be a diagnosed mental disorder and, therefore, worthy of study as such by the psychological community.
Through his decades-long psychiatry practice, he counseled dozens of people who suffered from, what most would call, narcissistic personality disorder. Peck noticed that most of these people were pathological liars and just plain evil. As he pulled the thread on this observation, he concluded, "Lying is simultaneously one of the symptoms and one of the causes of evil.”
On the inside flap of my copy of the book, I wrote “wherever there is evil, there is lying; find the liar and you will find the evil.”
